Real Boy
Directed by Shaleece Haas
Bennett, a charismatic teenager with musical aspirations, is on the brink of adulthood when he comes out as transgender. Filmed over three years, "Real Boy" charts Bennett's coming-of-age story, including the struggle with his family, a budding friendship with his musical hero, and Bennett's own shifting, intricate sense of self.
Keenly observed and often poignant, "Real Boy" follows Bennett's journey to find his voice—as a musician, a friend, a son, and a man.
