Cruz Reynoso
Directed by Abby Ginzberg
In 1982, Cruz Reynoso, the son of farm workers, became the first Latino California Supreme Court Justice. “Cruz Reynoso: Sowing the Seeds of Justice” follows Reynoso's extraordinary life, from his childhood growing up in La Habra, California; to his heroic tenure as the director of the California Rural Legal Assistance; to his five years as Associate Justice; to the Presidential Medal of Freedom he received in 2000. Abby Ginzberg’s luminous film reveals the life of a man devoted to eradicating discrimination and inequality at all levels of society.
